Some exhibits were really exciting as this original panel of the Control Center. NASA's Space Center in Houston, Scale Models and Engines NASA's Space Center in Houston, ISS ModelĪnd although a scale model of the lunar lander was again a great disappointment an exhaust nozzle of a rocket engine looked to me as an original piece. Some models did stand out like this one of the ISS that gave a good idea and perspective on the relative size of its various modules from very close. NASA's Space Center in Houston, Scale Models The hall is almost dark, and the only silver lining are some super exited school groups taking group photos.Īs I moved from one exhibit to another, my curiosity and enthusiasm both faded progressively since they were mostly scaled models of the real things. NASA's Space Center in Houston, Main Hall The excitement that builds up until this time ends up in a bummer as a super huge spacious dim light hall greeted me with nothing exciting to see here except a large number of scale models scattered all over the place. NASA's Space Center in Houston, Turnstile Entrance The entry is through a self-operated turnstiles though there are plenty of attendants to help out in case help is needed. NASA's Space Center in Houston, Ticket Counter I had booked the ticket a month before the travel. There is a ticket counter and 5% discount when bought online. There is a huge parking space in front of the entrance and given the very warm and humid climate of Houston in late June I'd recommend parking closer to a sidewalk that is also lined with shady trees until the main entrance. During my visit here I stayed at the Microtel Inn right across the street so simply walked over to the place.
